saturday morning

 at 7 a.m. it was 21 degrees f.
i run and walk, so taking pictures is easy.
the dark streets of downtown were deserted.
 the sky was spectacular.  moody.
puddles in the gravel area that we saw on our wednesday run were ice.

 we saw the sun rise,
and then ran back over the bridge into kentucky.
a barge was going down the river.

i used to call my running group "crazies" until a guy said, "we're not crazy, we're dedicated!"  but sometimes it feels crazy.  happy crazy.

  1. Crazy dedicated, you are. I use to run so I know it's the endorphins that keeps you coming back. You inspire me to get back to it one day.

  3. I love your running route. Neel and I went to college in Indiana, and my trip to get there from Tennessee took me through Kentucky and Ohio via Cincinnati. I feel I know those bridges well. Love the blue of morning in those photos.

  4. How far do you run each day? It looks far. But beautiful, and inspiring! (Oh, but how early do you get up to do this?) Anyhow, I'm sure this is part of why you see so much beauty in every day life.

  7. I was kind of thinking that...7 a.m. on a Saturday morning when you work all week? That's okay, so much more fun in a group and you cheer each other on. Nobody wants to be the one that doesn't show up I'll bet. Good for you Noreen. A great way to start off the new year. Without question, my favorite time of day. Nice captures!

  10. Amazing photos! When I scroll it feels like I get a sense of how you went out in the dark and then saw the sunrise. Great! The two first photos are sooo beautiful!

So - you run in the morning, before work? Dedicated indeed!
