rose garden

 the roses are only on the sign now,
 and the only color in the park is the flag flying bright above the bare branches.
 no romance, just quiet.
 sleeping,

 waiting for spring.  winter beauty.

    I think quiet - the kind of quiet that snow can bring - is romantic. I bet it means a fire in the fireplace, a warm beverage, and a throw blanket around your legs on the sofa. Thinking of you in the snow.
