stay together

when running on empty downtown streets with the group, i stay close.  yesterday i stopped on the bridge to take a picture, and never saw the friend i was running with again.  he ran ahead, and we must have joined different pace groups.  there were maybe 100 runners total.
someday i'll come down with a car and a real camera, but in the meantime you can see that it's beautiful, urban, and dark.  happily, not raining yesterday.  joy to you!

  2. I hate when that happens in any crowd situation. Similar to Teri, I love deserted streets in the early morning. Possibility hangs in the air as a new day starts. I'm guessing this photo was taken at night??

  3. we run wednesday evenings. i find some of the dark streets scary, so i stay in my pace group. i wouldn't run alone there at night. sure is fun to get to see the sights, though! early morning streets are sleepy and filled with possibility, agreed.

  4. 100 runners? I have a totally different image now. I'm glad you hopped on to clarify because deserted dark streets make me nervous too, even in our sweet quiet neighborhood. Just as the sun comes up...that's nice time.
