ohio sunrise

at the convenience store at 6:15 a.m. in maine last sunday, i was talking to the clerk who asked me how i was.  "happy!" i answered, "i'm in maine!  i love ohio, but we don't have the beach."  "oh, is it far to the ocean?"  aah.  i was surprised.  she must not know ohio is in the heart of the usa, far from either ocean.

but we have our own beauty.

you just have to look for it.
joy and blessings to you!

  2. I think that Ohio is a very beautiful state - it's a peaceful beauty, not overwhelming. We recently moved to NE Ohio, and are surprised by all the treasures here - even a national park! We feel lucky to live here. ;)

  3. Heidi, welcome to Ohio! We DO have lots of parks and cultural institutions. Cincinnati has museums, the conservatory, and lots of things for families to do. Best of all, the people in Ohio are kind and friendly. You belong!!

  4. Leah, when I go running during our "Lord of the Rings" phases, I sometimes think, "this forest is what Frodo was going through with the hobbits." Isn't that funny?
