tree

saturday we went to the tree farm, and the kids chose and cut down a tree.
they asked what kind of tree i wanted.  "one that smells good."  i sniffed a few, but in the fresh air couldn't smell anything.

after choosing, sawing, and driving it back, you can feed the animals.  it's an annual tradition go to go dirr nurseries.

 it's getting decorated slowly.
i haven't noticed that pine scent yet, but it could be because michael is making pizzelles.  mmm.  smells like sweet italian cookies.

  1. I love that joy plaque (?) sitting on the fireplace! Our plan was to put the Christmas tree up this weekend. Didn't happen. But we did buy a new ornament.

  5. I love these photos of your holiday home. Looks like you picked a good tree. What kind is it? It looks like the kind we got - a cross between a Noble and Douglas...So we were told by the worker at the tree lot. I'm with you, just give me one that smells good.
