post-run treat


there is a window of time after a hard workout during which your body uses sugar differently.  don't ask me how, but it's good for you then.  so!  reason to run #2 (sanity-saver = #1) is the chocolate shake with peppermint stick chocolate chip ice cream.  no kidding.  (the sugar's fine, the unhealthy fat - oh well!)

  1. These are happy pictures. Being allowed and encouraged to eat a sugary treat after a run is reason enough to start doing it again. Ok, sanity-saver ranks pretty high, too. You would make the perfect running partner.

  4. Yummy treat after a run would motivate me as well ... hmmm, or I may just got for the treat ; ) I am finally reducing my sugar intake ... went through a few days of headchaches, but now I am better and body adjusted to less sugar yaaay!
