the celestial

in mt. adams for lunch at the rookwood, we took a walk past the celestial,
a four-star, four-diamond steakhouse.
having an out-of-town guest with us, we walked in.  i wanted to show my relative
the view from the restaurant.
up the ramp, you see a panoramic cincinnati.
then you notice that your surroundings are lovely, too.

the tableware is simple and precise.
not open for lunch service, imagine the view at sunset.
here you can see across the river and into kentucky.

time to head out into the sunshine.
mental note:  come back hungry!

beautiful restaurant, even without the food.
happy friday.

  1. I'm so glad you snuck up there! It really is beautiful without the food, and you can feel the anticipation. We don't often eat red meat, but sometimes you just can't beat a really well-made steak. Especially when someone else makes it! And in such lovely surroundings!
