roebling bridge

did you read the great bridge?
john roebling (1806 - 1869) built a bridge in 
cincinnati first.  delayed by the civil war, it was
finished in 1867.  we call it "the humming bridge" for the noise it makes when you drive over it.  see if you can hum without taking a breath for the full length of the bridge.  
the speed boat on a rainy day going under the bridge reminds that summer is coming.  
we're ready.

  1. I really like how the photos are shades of gray and brown with the barest hint of blue until you get to the last one, when you mention summer and the bridge is a bright pop of blue. Perfect way to tell a story with words and pictures. And a lovely bridge to have so near you and part of your lives as well. XO
