recently my parents made a very serious commitment to their faith. it took place at a monastery with beautiful paths and places to contemplate. i wish them joy and peace on their path. what is peaceful today?
Beautiful collage with such a serene color palette. It's so warm here, but at least looking peaceful and fall like with leaves falling outside my window.
Right now I hear cars passing by our house, tiny foot prints pounding upstairs, and the coffee maker brewing. The start of a new, peaceful day. Make it a great day!
Heidi, my parents devoted years to study and prayer, and then had the ceremony to become Lay Franciscans. Called SFO - Secular Franciscan Order. They are very happy.
Wow! That is fantastic about your parents. I was raised Catholic and the St. Francis stories were always my favorite. A peaceful day for me is when I have a sense of peace despite all that is happening around me - both good and bad. I'm at a place where I don't strive for happiness - I long for peace. x, Beth

ReplyDeleteI'm curious about what the faith commitment at the monastery involves... If it's not too personal, can you share?
