newport aquarium - has jellyfish art. we ate one in class a few years ago when studying invertebrates. they taste like soggy noodles. a very simple animal, but beautifully displayed with classical music in the background.
AACK! Those guys inspire nothing but fear around here. Intellectually I know how beautiful they are, but after seeing so many kids get stung in the summer (and having a sting or two myself), classical is NOT the music that comes to mind! I prefer them the way you found them...behind glass!
Jellyfish are really beautiful. Yes, behind glass. Now that I have youngsters, I associate jellyfish with the movie, Nemo. Have you seen? It's a heartwarming movie/cartoon and Dori (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) almost meets death by a thousand jellyfish.
