inspired by mark rothko's 3-color paintings - swabbed decks, blue sea, and cloudy sky.
a storm coming in. we were on the beach waiting for this little boat to take us to the ship.
an evening of rain. the ship just pulled a see-through roof over the pool, and relaxing continued.
looking back with feet on land. a beautiful thing.

Noreen ... the 1st photo is absolutely GORGEOUS. Yep, mark rothko like :)
ReplyDeleteNoreen-What a beautiful spot. Where are you? Are you enjoying the cruise, i'm not sure i'd like to be captive on a boat-but those photos are having me reconsider.

I love the colour in the second photo & the expectation of the storm. Catherine x
ReplyDeleteLove your Mark Rothko reference. He's one of my favorites. Lovely pics and memories of a wonderful vacation. See-through roof? That must have been something to see. ;)
ReplyDeletethe colour and intensity in the second photo is stirringly beautiful. i love the top photo too (but am embarrased to say i'll have to look up mark rothko) xxx
ReplyDeleteAllison - We left Miami and cruised the Bahamas. First cruise. Did get seasick. But I agree with you - wouldn't do it again - just for the independence factor. Still it was a wonderful way to visit with a lot of family.
ReplyDeleteLove the Rothko connection and the great contrast between the bright blue of the sea and the stormy sky.
ReplyDeleteNoreen! I'll get caught up, but that Rothko! Gorgeous! Just stunning! I hope you're well, dear. xo
